Biography

Eunjin Lee is a PhD student in Gender Studies at UCLA. With an activist background and legal training in South Korea, her research spans transnational feminism, critical Korean studies, and socio-legal studies. She extends U.S.-centered discourses on carcerality and abolition through a South Korea-rooted, transnational feminist lens, examining how carcerality operates beyond the criminal legal system—through welfare, public health, and care policies.
