Biography
Ebony Oldham’s (they/them) research explores how Black women encounter anti-black violence at sites of labor and leisure. They received their M.S. in Educational Leadership and Policy and Gender, Race and Nations from Portland State University, where they considered how neoliberal discourse on diversity and safety in higher education has informed the militarization of campus police across Oregon universities within the last decade. Their current research employs Black feminist theory to examine the intricacies between blackness, fatness, labor and leisure.
